For Providers

Winders Wee Care will be offering customizable theme units to providers to include educational materials, arts and crafts projects, and children-approved reading lists. All items will be presorted and precut so all you need to do is utilize the materials!



In addition, classes will be offered on select Saturdays. Each class will be given a two-hour time frame, but classes may be shorter than this depending on attendance and depth of material. The cost of one class is $15 per person and this price drops to $10 per class when you register for more than one class on the same day. These classes are perfect for individuals thinking about starting their own family daycare, have recently started their family daycare business, and even individuals who have run their own family daycare for years. Bringing a laptop computer is vital when attending these classes and is strongly recommended.

Below is a list of classes and workshops which will be offered to providers. This list is not extensive and will grow and change as needs and requests change.



Contract Workshop - Learn how to develop an effective contract which protects you, your interests, your business, as well as those of the families you serve. Bring your laptop if you have one so you can leave the workshop with a completed contract.



Website Building Workshop - Learn the basics of website building. Start-up cost of the website is approximately $25 and $8-$13 per month to maintain, so bring your credit card to sign up during the workshop. Bring your laptop computer and plan to leave the class knowing how to build your site and what to include on it. This class counts as two classes.



Curriculum Know How - What does it mean to offer a preschool curriculum? In this workshop, you will learn what a preschool curriculum consists of, what parents are looking for, and how to create your own unique curriculum. In this class we will develop a month of curriculum and make a couple of art projects based on the calendar. Laptops are recommended.




Common Sense Behavior Control - Learn new and inventive ways to promote positive behavior and deter negative behavior. This class is recommended for both providers and parents.




CPR and First Aid Certifications - Fees will be based upon the fee of the presenter. CPR valid for two years.




Client Generation and Retention - This workshop will teach you the best methods of both gaining clients as well as retaining clients. Innovative and affordable (even FREE!) marketing techniques will be explored and you will leave with a well developed plan to make your business a success.




Tax Workshop - Learn the ins and outs of reporting your income and all the information you will need to collect as a provider. Family daycare taxes can be confusing and time consuming. It is often only after a provider attempts to report their income for the first time that they become aware of everything they must know and keep track of. In this class, learn how to easily and completely fulfill your tax payment obligations.
